2023-2024

We have had another fantastic year in sports, filled with a wide range of events. This academic year, 206 pupils participated in Inter Sport Events, attending 42 different events, excluding our football, cricket, and netball fixtures.

Our teams have celebrated numerous successes throughout the year. The Year 5/6 Dodgeball Team achieved 3rd place in the county finals, the Year 5/6 Boys Football Team were runners-up in the cup, and our Year 1/2 Three T’s Cricket Team finished in 3rd place. This was our inaugural year in Group 5 of the Borough Olympics, where we impressively finished in 4th place and will remain in this group for the next academic year.

Students across all age groups have accomplished so much this year. We are extremely proud of their hard work and determination, and we greatly appreciate the support from their parents and carers.

Enjoy your summer break, and we look forward to another year of perseverance and success in sports at Dilkes.

Huge well done to our Dodgeball team who finished in 3rd place at the Essex Finals. Their determination throughout the day was amazing, they played against some very strong teams

Well done to our Y6 girls who competed in the Essex Cross Country Finals. Thank you Mrs. Nye and Mrs. Napper for supporting the girls

We were very fortunate to have 4 of our Games Leaders attend the Y3/4 Sports Hall Athletics event. They helped alongside secondary school pupils with both track and field events. We now have 17 Bronze Level Games Leaders with 6 now having achieved their Silver Level.

Congratulations to our Y5/6 Football team who finished runners up in yesterdays Thurrock Primary Schools Cup Final

Congratulations to our Y3/4 Tag Rugby team who finished in 3rd place

Fantastic result for our Y5/6 SSP Dodgeball team who finished in 1st place.

Well done to our Y5/6 SSP Football team. They finished in 2nd place with one goal conceded in the group stages, winning on penalties in the semi-final and then unfortunately losing on penalties in the final. Fantastic start to the year
